Have you ever heard of the King 4x4 Challenge in Price? Something like this already happens every year..... Talk to GreatScott or Marvin (I think?) on here for more info!!!! Heck, 78Mitsu should know as well... Point being LOTS of people on here have been working together to make this thing fun for everyone. Lots of sponsors around here (I'm one) as well...

the 2007 King Challenge will be on June 9(so far) Mark your calendars, come play we have a blast, should be better then last year. From stock to full competition buggy is welcome and classed so if you're driving a stock sami you don't have to compete against the competition buggy.

More info please. I assume this is at your cool park I've read a bit about in other thread. Is there a website, where/how does one register?

I wanna play!

78mitsu is updating the web site as we speak. Registration will not yet be up, as we have not finished tweeking a few things. Basicly it will be very close to last years as far as events, fees, classes, and so on. We just locked in the date last week, and the rest is in the works.

Is there a vintage class? I'd love to run my dad's '51 Willys Truck. Course I'd have to "borrow" the truck first.

Robbie and others...

That is exactly what the King Crawlers have set up.. in fact theirs is FAR better IMHO. They have a mud bog, a tire pit, as well as a rock crawl that will mire even the baddest of buggies.

so, at what point is one considered to have crossed the line from cj7 to buggy?

Last year they had three classes (correct me if I'm wrong). 35" tires and under daily driver (must be street legal), 36" and over daily driver (again, must be street legal) and then open class (anything goes here).

So if memory serves me correctly, you would be a CJ7 until you were no longer street legal. But if you wanted to compete in the open class, you are more than welcome. Actually, if you qualified for the 35" tire DD class, but on the day of the event you saw the others, and fealt there was no competition for you there, you could move your rig up a class to wherever you wanted. You just can't move down a class.

And to be clear, street legal doesn't mean you better have mud flaps or your a buggy. It just means you need to have all of the correct equipment to have it registered. Seat belts, lights, fender flares, etc.
