How much should i pay for a set of STOCK cherokee axles? maybe my idea of too much it's not realistic
Remember D44's came from factory in the rear of early XJ's with the towing package.
True, but most people ask 400+ for those
What is an early xj? What does the 44look like
True, but you also get what you pay for, and $400 for a direct bolt in axle he'll never have to worry about, with way more aftermarket support that a 35 or 8.25" has, seems worth the coin
That's the good part about the 44/9 swap. Their not full width just a hair wider than stock. a set of flares and still legal. But without spending money on adapters true new wheels would have to be bought. That is the one bonus to an xj 44
They are significantly wider. Unless you find EB axles, and then you have to swap rear shafts to get 31 spline.

Agreed, my XJ had 44/9" out of a 3/4 ton. Granted my wheels had a little over an inch wider back spacing than stock.
