Does the "bump" part of your boomerang shackle stick toward the rear? If so, it's in there backward. It won't change anything with how it rides, but it's designed to allow the shackle to travel rearward farther before binding inside the factory upper shackle "box" mount. The way yours is, could limit compression travel.

the PO put the shackels on like this:

Front of jeep ------------------------------------------------------Rear of jeep
-----------------------------------------------------------------------\
-----------------------------------------------------------------------/
-----O---------------------------------------------------------O
front tire :) -------------------------------------------------rear tire

and its funny, but the little / and \ actually look alot like the shackle.. same angle and everything.. so should i switch the shackles around the other way so they hang like this: /
----------------------------------------------------\
is that right?

A closer-up pic of just the shackle area will confirm, but yes--they should probably be switched around.

wow.. i never knew! question tho.. if i do that will it make the leaf swing further back upon compression so that the axle will swing back too, which will make my tire rub the rear of the fender well more?

If the shackle is currently hitting the back of the bucket (you'll see marks if it has), then it's limiting compression travel. Switch it around and it will allow more compression, which might let the tire smash into the rear fenderwell more.

So.....maybe. :)

IS that a Creasey rig?

Seriously... I swear I've seen that thing before.

HAHAHAHA Right on man. I know exactly what you mean there! I had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with them. Dan was ok but man please man if you love your jeep don't do it!!!

Sorry to anyone whose offended by this but "I had a bad experience".-_-

yeah i remember drooling over that every time i was by pioneer park haha!
i can't believe the 5.0 didn't nail you for fenders. the stinkin shops that do inspections are STRICT now. i found a guy at Extreme Automotive that's a cherokee fan so he'll pass it.. once i get the money for tax and reg haha

would keep that on the dl if I was you and liked having it done :) they crackin down on them pretty hard... :-\
