I am replacing the LSD with a truetrac in my '01 Dodge Ram 1500 and am finidng I need a special tool to release/ adjust the carrier bearings. Anyone know where I can get one without ordering online for $75+ dollars. Everyone, including the dealers has all given me a blank stare when I ask them.

Does that stare look something like this... :wtf: ... because I have no idea what you're talking about either.

Is is a spanner wrench that you need?

Is it the same as a Chrysler 8.25? They use a 36mm nut. I happen to have a home made one with a two 36mm nuts on it.

It is listed as the same on the $75+ ones I found. I was thinking I could fab one but wasnt sure what size the nut was. That is perfect, thanks, will be making one tomorrow. I was estimating about 5' long, would that be about right?
