I'm still fighting to get my Pilot bearing out. I made a tool today to pull it out, If it works maybe I'll post pics of my hacked pilot bearing puller. I borrowed a jack for mine and I really need to get it done and back...

well I got the clutch in and all tightened down... tomorrow I will be degreasing the bellhousing and other items I can drag to the car wash in the girlfriends clean jeep... and then attempting to put the tranny/transfer case in with my floor jack...

I also was able to take the time and get the second stick installed for my twin stick 300 transformation!!! Thanks Bryson!

Just speaking from experience. You will probably want to find the correct tool. Close isn't good enough. I have what you need but I am in south Jordan. It seems like it is a $5 autozone part though.

Nothing is worse than having a tranny and t case sooo close to bolting up only to find the clutch is a little off and won't let it bolt up.

well I guess the tool I made was good enough... the tranny/transfer case just slipped right in with no fuss... in fact I did it all by my self with a floor jack and a ratchet strap... didn't think it was going to work by myself but it did...

So thanks everyone! lol

Spork when your ready to do yours give me a shout and I'll help ya!

just find a bolt as close to the size of the hale as posable.
pump hole hith grease, then just hamer on the bolt in the pilot hole if it is tight enuff the grease will puse the bearing out.
yes i have done this.
make sure hole is full of grease.

I have a cj clutch alignment tool that I have been using for a punch. Maybe I should clean it up and donate it to someone who needs to use it properly.

Tried the grease trick already, I think I had a small gap on the outside of the bearing that the grease liked to come out of, it was messy.

Here's my franken-tool that got it out :greg:
