CNC Plasma Cutting around Layton or Ogden?

Are there any shops that do CNC plasma cutting?

I'm building some bumpers in CAD and want to have them CNC cut so i can just weld them together.

You won't even have to drive there. Carl is so cool he can cut the stuff for you over the web!! With his laser eyes!!

He just cut my front bumper on Friday. Perfect match for the DXF I sent him. Bent it up and tacked it on Saturday, came together perfectly. I used SolidWorks to model it and flatten it.

Solid model, then shelled and converted to sheet? or designed in sheet?

are you guys just using solid works for the modeling then sending it to carl? or can you model it in google sketchup and then send it to him? Only reason I ask is that solid works doesn't work on a mac and my only PC that I have to use my solid works on, the screen doesn't work and I can't get it to work on my tv screen either

I have SolidWorks 2006. I created in 3D sheetmetal, then unsuppress the the 'flat pattern'. Send it to a drawing and then export the drawing in dxf.

How are you (or whoever) bending it?

I put cut lines through the bends that left 1/2 inch on each end. Make the bend and then weld the gap. Lots of welding, but I need the practice.
