Here is their 2.0" shock that accepts 2.5" ID springs.

Also entertaining other brand ideas... F.O.A. just seems to fit the budget along with their credibility that I've read a little about. Definitely not set on anything yet.

It's not an issue with emulsion shocks, but some non-reservoir shocks have the floating piston at the top of the shock to seperate the gas. This is great for performance, but it makes the overall shock length longer when compared to an emulsion or reservoir shock.

What valving am I going to want?

The new chassis is not going to be too much heavier than the old... the new extra weight will be un-sprung anyways. The back will see a little more weight (probably around 100-160lbs more) because of the rear seat (kids) and room for a slightly larger cooler & gear.

I've tried to read up a little bit on valving from the limited time I've had but I can't make much sense of it yet. Are there any basic rules out there to follow when ordering? I guess it can be changed at a later date if it's not what I expected.

If you go with FOA ask your valving questions then. They do all the valving for you and will take into consideration how you plan to use the rig. Daily driving, desert running, rock crawling and the like. I would think medium/medium up front and light medium/light medium in the rear. This is just a guess so give the experts their due. Right on LT. Thanks for the reply. I actually did just that last night and sent in the order. I can't wait to actually get them now.
