Is anyone else having trouble with Comcast Internet?
For the past week between 8PM and 8 AM my modem shuts down
and reboots about every 30-40 minutes. I'm only disconnected for a minute or two but its over and over again.
Comcast says call them when it happens so they can check it out, but of course thats impossible when I'm on hold for 30 minutes:mad2:

it could be an issue with your node .as much as it might not be happening by the time you get to talk to somebody at least you will get it documented which will help you in getting them to credit your account for all the issues you've been having.it will also help to prove they need to send somebody out to check the nodes junction box where the problem could be.

i know in the last week they have been having issues with their DNS failing.i have had that happen several times.where it seems that you have no internet but if you type in a web pages actual IP address instead of the domain name it would come up.

Its probably something in the area.
Last time I had trouble it was because they disconnected people and just left the cables hanging from the pole

Well after about a week and a half of calling and e-mailing and installing a new modem I kept getting told there was no problem at they're end.
Today I took 58 pages of modem logs into they're offce and told them that the log showed a problem on the downside.
This afternoon I call and a recording tells me that the service is down for routine maintenance and now it's back up and everything is miraculously back to normal.
