I have a 68 with the 225 v6 buick engine. I got a sm465 np205 to toss in, but it didnt fit the hole mount on the bell housing. It is just a bit small. Should I just shave it off till it fits in?

Does the transmission have the BOP bolt pattern? If not it wont bolt up without changing the bellhousing.

Get a lakewood and redrill it or something. Seems to work well.

The SM420 is a direct bolt in to the stock bellhousing.
