computer help needed

I have a Compaq Presario CQ62 laptop I got a year and a half ago for school but its not cutting it with all the videos I have to see in my classes anymore. Right now it has 2gb ram and im thinking it just needs alittle more since everything just freezes up all the time or is so dang slow that things time out. I have used malware bytes and ccleaner to clean up this thing everyweek and have erased cookies regularly so I dont think its a cookie issue.

Anyone know of a good shop or individual that can help me get this laptop working for school again?

Are they Flash videos you are viewing? If so disable the hardware acceleration in the settings since ATI graphics cards have problems with it. Usually videos rely on your GPU and internet connection on how well they play. I can help you add more RAM if you want since it supports up to 8gig and they are usually around 15.00 - 20.00 per 2gig stick. But the single core 2.2 is probably slowing you down more. If you are going to be in the Sandy area I can take a look at it.
