I saw that last on MSNBC as well. It's sad that the child didn't survive though. And honestly, how is it that the people that pulled over weren't able to stop the guy? I can say that if I saw some crazy dude doing that, I'm not just going to be using strong language on him.

No joke. But this was California, were kind words and coddling solve everything. I'm also kind of wondering why the cop shot him rather than tase or tackle him. There must be more to the story.

There is nothing more pathetic than a person who beats a child. I believe there's a special corner of hell reserved for animals like him that makes regular hell look like a party.

I think about my little guy (2 years old) and my allergies start acting up to think about someone beating any child, especially a toddler.

Maybe the same reason I would: he was "acting in a life-threatening manner, I had no choice".

Closest you can legally come to "Because that motherf***er didn't deserve to take another breath".

I read that the cop who shot the guy was on the helicopter and they had to land in a field adjacent to the scene and he was screaming at the guy to stop and couldn't get over to the actual scene becasue of barb wire and electric fences between them so he fired. The other cops hadn't arrived yet.

Because son of a b*tch was threatening the boy with death or serious bodily injury, the Deputy was justified in using deadly force. I would like to have been on the giving end of that firearm.

Someone should smacked that SOB with a tire iron. Geez 2-3 people could of grabbed him or 1 could of grabbed the kid.

I read that in another article as well. Still makes me sick to my stomach, thinking of the poor toddler.

Not that I think the guy should be alive, but actually prison (general population) is about the best punishment for a child molester/abuser.

The problem with that, is that there are getting to be so many of them in prison. This jerk lived too long because the kid sure didn't.

The other problem is, if he's in prison (getting punished or not) he's a drain on ME for as long as he lives. The bullet was much cheaper than feeding and housing him for the next 50 years. -_-

I think you speak for most of us, there.

Glad that guy isn't going to get a chance in court. Prison would have been way too good for him.

i dont know about that im sure there are guys in prison that would love to have there way with him esp knowing what he did
