I am finally ready to add seats to the YJ I am currently weighing my options and have it narrowed down to either the Baja XP or the baja ultra. I really like the high side bolsters (I havent sat in a baja ultra yet) The baja XP is super comfy Im just not sure about the shoulder bolsters they seem like they might get in the way sometimes when trying to lean out and see your tires etc. just looking for some inside advice from anyone who has any experience with either seat

Sit in both for sure, since YOUR body might fit in one better than the other....

I like the Baja Ultra, personally. The XP seems too confining in the shoulders, where the Ultra is just snug around my hips, which I like for bouncing around.

Greg lived with Baja Ultra's in his TJ, so maybe he or Hunt can chime in about them....

I have the Baja SS in mine. I know they are not the two you are talking about but the SS is very similar to the Ultra. I really like the way they hug your hips, it is really not that difficult to get in and out of. You can lean out too check the exterior of the vehicle just fine. They make for a comfortable day out riding I know that. The only down fall is that when it rains in your vehicle they fill up like a mini lake, but I guess that is the users fault not the seats.

But like Carl said, sit in both the seats and make the decision on what feels best for you.

I have the Baja XP's and they are very comfortable. I like the sporty look and the material they are made out of. They breathe very well so you dont get as much back sweat in the summer. They seem to be very high quality for the price The suspension is very supportive and comfortable on bumpy roads. Everyone that sits in them comments on how comfortable they are. The bad is that they are more snug in the hips that I would have thought. I have not noticed the shoulder supports getting in the way. All and all I would reccomend them.

That is good to hear I am leaning towards the XPs but I need to find an ultra to sit in still before i commit to a purchase

I bought my Baja Ultra's from Carl when he was at TeraFlex.... they were awesome seats, taller and wider than the regular Baja's, but still held you in place just fine. Moving around in the seat for visibility wasn't ever a problem. I would love to have another set, they were great seats.

I have the ultra in my rig and they are super comfy and hold you in nice! Leaning out is never a problem either. I won't hesitate to buy them again when I want/need new seats;)

Well I was so close to just ordering the Baja XPs and im glad i didnt.....I finally got the opportunity to sit in a Baja ultra and it felt like it was made just for me. The baja ultra seemed to hold me better than the Xps and I came to the conclusion that my shoulders are to wide for the shoulder bolsters on the XP.

So long story short I will have a set of corbeau Baja ultras on there way momentarily
