I had some deals with them during the split, and honestly David seemed like a stand up guy and I tended to believe him. Tim seemed shifty, but at that time por was behind him so everyone else was too

I did some reading on POR, didn't find where Lance & Tim were doing battle, but found plenty of other dirt. I never knew it got that bad. Time for a UT based magazine! :greg:

I really enjoyed this rag, I thought it was one of the better ones out there. its to bad it fell apart. I get bored with other mages, seems like they have the same 3 themes every month "readers rigs!...again!" or "ultimate (back east, mud only) adventure" or "top truck, who has the biggest f-ing tires in the world, challenge!" all of these are cool and all but they get old. I liked crawl because it showed a lot of neat new technology and ideas out there, it made other rags look out dated. I like to see new product testing, epic trails, insane fabrication ideas and skills and lots of awesome pictures. I don’t want to see "Tedo's Toyota" on 44s that’s "gonna werk sumday"

Is Vektor 4x4 in cahoots with Crawl magazine?

Vector Fab consistis of basically one guy (Jimmy Maybe), who builds rigs for the owner of Vector Arms, an outfit in the Bountiful area (which more or less shut down operations last year).

Crawl did feature many of the rigs Jimmy built, and in doing so probably rubbed some shops the wrong way (I'd occassionally hear negative comments regarding "favoritism" from others' in the industry).

Sure, Jimmy and the Crawl guys were pretty tight, but definitely not affiliated in a "business" sense.

Ya thats the worst part :-( that was the deciding factor for me to get a subscription. I really liked Matt Adair, and some of the articles he wrote. I got some time to talk to him in Moab and thought that magazine was really well laid out.
