crossover steering and heims?

how is this going to pass UT inspections?

ive read that I may have some issues. Is there anyone else running this that has passed the inspection?

I looked through the safety inspection manual, and the only thing it says that might hurt you is this:

2) Tie rod grease seals are cut, torn or otherwise damaged to
the extent that lubricant will not be retained

It will be up to the individual inspector probably. :(

Lately it seems like most violations are due to lift height, fender flares and mudflaps. If you're good on those 3, I'd guess your steering won't be noticed.

UHP is cracking down pretty hard on safety inspectors for passing stuff that shouldn't. The UHP tends to notice stuff that is very visible like I Lean said. Mudflaps, nine feet of lift, flares-- things they can see from a distance. They give you a fix it ticket, but then slap the safety inspector with fines and yank his inspection license. I am a former safety inspector and I made a large chunk of my paycheck from safety and emissions testing, so inspectors have good reason to stick to the book.

That being said, I would have passed your steering as long as your rod ends were not super sloppy. But then again, I sympathize with offroad modifications, since I do it too.
