Crossover steering?

I am installing a toyota ifs steering box on my jeep. My question is, does the drag link have to be parrallel to the tie rod or can it be at a bit of an angle closer to the axle?

mine is offset about 4", no problems...

Just make sure the drag link does not contact anything as the suspension travels.

Great thanks! I have a little more then four inches but it doesnt look like anything will interfere or hit when it flexes. If i move it up ill have to cut out the corner of my grill so i'm hoping this works out.
