Its time for me to change up vehicles to better suit my families needs. In order to do so have to sell off the Chevy first.
2002 Chevy Silverado LT 6.6 Duramax 175,xxx miles on chassis 75,000 miles on motor
Grey leather interior, Power everything, Heated seats
This truck began life in Idaho at the infamous Bully Dog Technologies headquarters. In 2002 Bully Dog teamed up with Trucks TV and modified the truck to show off at the SEMA show. It was dubbed Mr Universe http://www.rockcrawler.com/trailreports/SEMA2002/press_releases/bullydog_mruniverse.asp.
After the trucks fame died down Bully Dog continued to use the truck as a show and drag strip winner, while also conductiong R&D for similar models. Fast foreward several years and the truck is finally pushed too hard on the dyno bending a rod. Bully Dog sold the truck to an employee who had the engine and trans rebuilt at about 100,000 miles. I ended up buying the truck at 130,000 and have put the past 45,000 miles on in two years.
Several modifications have been done to this truck during its lifetime, but this is a list of how its currently sitting:
EFI Live tuned by Rob Coddens with DSP5 switch
Bully Dog special built Allison racing transmission
Fass 150 lift pump
Pyrometer probe at turbo housing
pyrometer probe at exhaust manifold
Bully Dog boost gauge
Bully Dog pyrometer
A Pillar triple gauge pod
PPE boost increase valve
Bully Dog 4" Exhaust
Bully Dog intake
6" Tuff Country lift kit
Kelderman self leveling air ride
Kelderman ladder bars
Cognito UCA's
Cognito steering braces (Pitman and Idler)
Supersteer HD Idler arm support
Rare Parts tie rod ends inner and outer
ARB air locker
Air compressor
Kelderman 3 gallon air tank
8 gallon propane tank with remote fill (not plumbed into engine)
Webasto diesel in cab heater
AutoPage FM760 remote start and alarm (not currently programmed)
Spyder projector headlights
55W 8000k HID high beams
35W 6000k HID low beam
Spyder LED tail lights
Pioneer speakers front and rear
18" Chrome wheels
35x12.50 Tires
Chrome running boards
Spray in bed liner
The good and the bad:
UCA's, Upper/Lower ball joints, Inner/Outer tie-rods, Pitman/Idler arms, HD Idler support, Trans cooler lines, and Batteries, were all replaced about 15,000 miles ago.
The front tires are Toyo MT with 10,000 miles and the back are Nitto Mud Grapplers with about 20% tread left on them.
There is a small power steering and transmission leak. Neither leak requires re-filling fluid often but just enough to leave drips on the driveway.
The four wheel drive is binding up, Ill look into this a bit closer this week. EDIT:To update the 4WD issue we have decided it's likely the gears that drive the front driveline binding inside the transfer case. 2WD operation is just fine. So a rebuild or replacement will be needed
The interior looks great except the leather driver seat is cracking pretty bad
The exterior is in good shape do dents and the paint is in good shape. There are some very small areas the clear coat is up and some other small imperfections.
Stock CD player doesnt play discs but radio works.
Rear DVD player doesnt read discs
I am on the fence about price given its few short comings but since the rules require one $16,000 OBO
Im sure I missed a lot of info but any questions call or text me at (435) 513-5635
Feel free to PM me as well
