Central Valley Machine here in Cache Valley has a water jet. It really cool to watch  I talked to a guy that claimed it would cut accurately through 6 inches of mild

Not to mention, no heat affected areas.

I wonder what a basic 2 axis water jet would cost. I'm sure it's well over a plasma table but possibly cheaper than laser? That's just really cool stuff.

I am a huge fan of the water jet, I had a local company cut me some stuff for my new store. The guy had a 4 inch thick piece of steel there that he cut into a 1 inch circle (cylinder) then cut a 3/8 inch hole down through it. Pretty impressive machine.

For the record - the above picture is not a FLOW wj head that is doing the 5 axis cutting (like the initial video). It's from WARDJet and it's their Psy-Winder cutting head. More info. here:

Waterjet cutting is used for many car accessories, motorcycle parts, race car modifications, etc.

Simple question, do you work there? If so, can I have a job?:D
