So what is the trick to get the speedometer gear housing off the side of a Dana 300? Remove the keeper yoke, then the the housing pulls straight out or does it have a twist that it has to make?
The little fork holds it in, after that it's just an O-ring that's holding you up. It'll pull straight out. Twisting it affects how tightly the drive gear and driven gear mesh, so you may be ABLE to twist it if that helps, but you don't need to.
