Put a post up in the wanted section here. There's tons of guys here with parts to that axle lying around. I can think of a few off the top of my head. PM DaveB, he's a great guy and he'll help you find what you need.
That's going to be a lot cheaper than going to a shop.

When you say upgrade, do you mean you are buying more parts for the 35, or going with a different axle? I would suggest going with a different axle. Badcop on the board has a 8.25 from a 97 XJ for $50 bucks. That would be a decent upgrade for you.

Setting up used gears can be tricky, don't count on them running smooth after install. Have you considered just buying a complete D35?

Thanks every body for your advise. This is an excellent site. I am lerning a lot about jeep setups.I have bilt a bunch of dune buggys, sandrails and bajas and they are a lote of fun but my body cant take the fast off road bumps and jolts no more and i would like to see the scenery a littel more { you have to look fast in a off road car } I am looking forword to bilding this jeep up i think the first step is the axels and suspension but i need to fix the problem so it is not sitting around the yard besides it is a lot of fun to drive around town with the TOP DOWN. Thanks Brian
