Dana 60 gear and locker question

Hey guys I have a '76 dodge powerwagon and i just finished swapping axles, from the half ton stuff to dana 60's front and rear. I installed 5.13 gears and detroits in them. In the gear owners manuel there is a warning about not accelerating heavy from a dead stop until you have one hundred miles on the gears. I think i have about 50 on them but i couldnt wait anymore to feel the power with the new gears so i gassed it and when it shifted into 2nd gear the truck made a popping noise and jerked a little. I was wondering if this is likely to be the locker popping or if I might have damaged the gears. The road was a little wet so Im kind of thinking that when it shifted one of the tires slipped and the pop was the locker engaging. I hope that is what it was. This is the first truck i have had with a detroit locker.

Detroits will make some noise under normal use. While excellerating like you did with the wet roads the Detroit may have engaged a little rougher than normal. Just drive it normally and see what happens. I think that you are okay.
