Offroad only, would you rather have lock outs or slugs?

Do you think I could just swap my lock outs for slugs like these easly?

slugs, thats why I went with them...I wont worry about breaking them, even if its not too common to break a lockout I wont worry at all about it...kinda the same thing with going with a 60 front in the first place, never broke my front 30 BUT I was always worried about busting it...

Well, the slugs are unquestionably stronger. I still like lockouts though. Makes certain things easier to work on (drive shaft removal), and makes rallying fun.

So I guess I could just slip the lock outs, out and slide the drive flages in.... right?

What do you think they are worth? Drive Flanges that is...

yepm they are as simple as that to change over...worth, I would say for factory units anywhere from $25-$80 (price range I see them go for on ebay) if they are aftermarket then I would say $80-$150...but stock are generally as good as the aftermarket IMO...aftermarket you just get a fancy cover:D

I ran slugs for about a year then went with lockouts. I definately like the lock outs better for the faster stuff in and out of trails. I keep the slugs on me as spares though.

alright I'm being stupid here what the hell are slugs and lockouts? are we refering to the hubs?
Yep. Locking hubs versus solid "slugs" that are not unlockable.

IMO, a trialer queen such as yours shouldn't have anything but slugs! How fast do you think that you'll be going to have them hamper performance... my front end did great @70mph with them!!

why not run a slug in one side and lockout on the other so you only have to get out and lock one hub and you can unlock it to do highspeed stuff. make sense??
