I need to paint the hardtop on this thing so that I don't freeze now that the weather has turned cold. So should I leave the top white, or go with a grey ?

How about the top black? Blue and black are nice. Nice rig all around!!! :)

Thanks, black would look good but it might be a bit warm in the summer, silver could work. I want to go wheeling so I may have to live with faded white for a while.

My black full hard top makes me use my ac some times in the summer.

So far I have left it white which is cooler in the summer. I did shatter one of the sliding rear windows in Moab when it was 105 so I have put in custom tinted glass in the shell and that helps the temperatures even more. I also added rear shoulder seat belts to the roll cage for the rear occupants.

Go black and the just take off the top in the summer, that's what thoes roofs were made for, taking off. Better for sightseeing, getting freash air, and looking cool. I wish my roof would come off (well with out having to use a sawzal:p)

The rig looks great, I like how you have kept the classic look. It is a collectors item!

Well the top weighs a lot so I leave it on, plus I would sunburn my bald head. I tried hard to keep the classic look but make it a capable rig that is very reliable since we use it for lots of exploring in out of the way places. The newer fuel injected motor runs great with good mileage and blows away the emissions tests. I have been quite pleased with it.

Your top will come off just fine;). Just let me have about thirty minutes with it and I will show you.
