No, you worked well outside your skill level and strength criteria (by doing a mans job that is) against my advice and your hand suffered. Man hands don't suffer. This job requires that you push the brake pedal, marginally within your skill level.

I agree that you definitely have a workers comp claim, and should contact a lawyer. I think you need to get your union rep involved as well, I'm fairly certain that threatening your workers at gunpoint constitutes a hostile workplace.
