Deal between the Feds and Utah

Did anyone hear of the deal the the state of Utah traded 45,000 acers of land down by Moab for 40,000 acers of land possable fossel fuel land in the Uinta Basin? Let alone Utah got screwed with 5,000 fewer acers but I guess Utah has to give half of any profits to the Feds if anything is made off the land? Im trying to find better info but sounds pretty lame to me.

I heard somehing about it. I guess it was a under the table deal that made a lot of groups mad. All I say is we need resourses also. Cant run a trail with gas prices at $4.00 a gallon.

Were was the area in Moab, did we loose some trails
