So I am house sitting and my bosses dog ate a ball of pizza dough off the counter last night while I was using the restroom. Is he going to die?

If he is still alive now, then I would say no. The only thing I can see is maybe the yeast irritating him if it expands:confused:

My moms old dog used to eat full size towels and it didn't die because of that. She'd have to get operated on everytime after, but still.

As long as it's still doing its business, you're good.

Probably not... Is he a big dog? We had the same thing happen 3 days ago, Daisy nabbed 8 partially-frozen dough balls when we stepped out for 5 min. They were set out to rise and rise they did... in her belly! She was burping and did puke a little after running around outside, but otherwise she's fine. Dogs are pretty good at bouncing back after eating stuff they shouldn't.

If you're still worried, you can dump a bottle of hydrogen peroxide down his throat. Just put him outside, cause he'll be puking for the next 10 min.

Good to know. He seemed fine when I left this morning. He is about daisy's size. I wouldn't have guessed that the dog would be interested in a raw dough ball on the counter, much like Cody and any sort of fruit of veggie around his house just didn't think he would eat it.

My English Mastiff has eaten lots of odd stuff. Remote controls, Game Boy Advance, CDs, sunglasses, a cellphone, cordless phone, and a tomato shaped pincushion, complete with pins and needles (everything came out OK and no blood, but she didn't touch anything red for while!!!)...

Bottle? I wouldn't think that would be good...

I think it's supposed to be like 3 tablespoons

We have a 90lb lab that ate an entire package of uncooked costco tortillas  he was a little gassy, but that's not totally uncommon with this dog

I just meant I thought it was safe. If there was a bowl of bacon on the counter I would expect you to eat it. If a banana and a piece of broccoli was out it would be safe. :)

I hope I don't know anyone who could walk by a bowl of bacon... It's the love meat.
