i know in the past some hotels have been supportive of the event by offering discount rates. are there any this year? my family is looking for a room. also i know some places are sponsoring the event such as "the jubilee" "roper ace hardware" "lotsa motsa pizza" and "zapatas mexican" so remind your buddies to support them!

Thanks for the list Craig, we need everyone to remember to support these business while in town for the event. Without the local support this event would not be possible.

Ya. The D had plumbing troubles. 3 tries to get the right room key. People next to me were smoking something. Slept in my clothes to be safe.

For 40 bucks

It wasn't her. It was the midnight dirt bike drag race, the 1 AM mower race, the 2AM short course race, the 3AM near-fistfight, the 4 AM visit by the sheriff and the 5 AM UTV burning donuts on the other side of the fence. :D

There was a lot of excitement in the air. :D I'm not complaining, I was expecting a party; just not an all-night party. Funny enough, I didn't hear anything from the group at the north end of the parking lot. Good times though, all part of the experience. I guess I just didn't know what to expect.

I think sleeping up in the air in the RTT made it easier to hear noises. Nobody else in my camp heard much.

Our shower head was broke. It sprayed all over the whole bathroom and then shot off and almost hit my wife. We told the desk and when we checked out the girl was ready to charge us for it. Our room had mold growing on the walls, no smoke alarm, what looked like blood on the sheets, and the guest that was next to us played their music till midnight and then again at 6:30 in the morning. I was just going to look past all that stuff because the people were really nice but the lady at check out was not. She didn't honor the price I was quoted and just rolled her eyes and punched in the her price when she ran my card. It was only a few dollars but with her attitude it was really hard to handle. After she gave me the attitude I told her that she was being rude and that there were several problems and she rolled her eyes turned around went in the office and shut the door!!

It's amazing how the nice attitude of people can help you look over little things and the rude attitude of one person can spoil it all

I do think we'll try to avoid the party all night crew at the fairgrounds if we do it again. I do like to see everybody, but I'm old and cranky without any sleep. My wife had more fun than she thought she would, and has already talked about next year

I bounced a PM off Craig suggesting a separate camping area for the old fogeys, he seemed receptive.
