diagnosing an issue with my LJ heater

OK when I got my lj only high spd on the heater worked. No big deal I ordered a new blower motor resistor and put it in. Slight change. I now always still had high speed but once in a while low speed would just turn on when left on any of the other 3 speed positions.

I figured the resistor was bad and maybe the switch also. so I cleaned the switch and tried it, no go. So I jumped the positions on the switch plug and still could only get high speed.

Did rock auto send me a lemon resistor replacement or is there something else I have missed?

I know there is also a blower motor relay, but if this was bad I believe no speeds would work. Any ideas?

It would be nice to kick on the ac with the kids in the jeep w/o the sound of a 1950's hoover roaring away from the dash.

no expert by any means but my experiance has been it is probly the blower motor its self when my doge went out whas kinda the same thing but on advice from a few people i trust i replaced both the resistor and the motor as they said that if the motor was getting weak it could just blow the resistor again
