dodge 208 behind chevy tranny?

Can it be done?

Can we put a dodge 208 with the fixed yoke behind a chevy tranny? (NP465) Mix and match chevy and dodge 208's?

Or just go with a 205?

or does someone have a D300/chevy tranny combo that they wanna sell? stick or auto, doesn't matter.

Not sure about the 208, but my younger brother is running a Dodge NP203 in his '76 Chevy with a TH350. No mods needed.......shift linkage, shaft lenght and spline count, mounting holes, etc. were all the same. Bolted right in, and was already converted to part time.

I have a chev 205 that was behind a stick shift trans. My plans may be changing, and I wont need it.

I also have a two 205's sitting here, one is mated up to a SM465, the one for sure is a 10 spline, but I think they both are. I also have a 208 here as well that needs to go if that helps. It was mated to a 700R4.

I have a 700r4 that I have a Dodge 241D transfer case on. This gives the fixed yoke output and a lower ratio than the 208 or the 205. You do have to swap in a chevy input shaft but that isn't very hard.
