Does anyone on here work at BigBubba's Trailers?

The only way that you are going to get away from production type welds, is to build your own trailer. In order for a company to remain profitable, they must maintain procedures that save time and money. When you build as many trailers as Bubba does, you can't expect him to weld every one of them. He has to hire employees to pick up the slack, and that gets expensive.

When I purchased my trailer, Bubba went out of his way to build EXACTLY what I wanted. He quoted me a price over the phone for a simple 18 X 8.5 deckover. When I went to talk with him, I had him add rails, electric brakes on BOTH axles, D-rings at all four corners, 8 ft. ramps, and D load range tires. The only thing he charged extra for was $15/tire to upgrade from C range.

We built Muleskinner's trailer by exactly copying my trailer (plus 2 ft.), and yeah, his trailer is built better than mine. But when you are building something for your own use, and not trying to meet deadlines, you do a nicer job.

I've owned mine for three years now, bought it for hauling 5 ATVs, and the 'crawler. It has been to the dunes on countless occasions, and several rockcrawling excursions, and the only thing I can b!tch about is the sh!tty paint on the ramps. I would recommend Bubba to anyone and feel confident that they will get a good product.

May have never owned it personally but I have used a bubbas plenty...basically in the three years we (my former POB) had the trailer we basically ended up rebuilding the entire thing. The only original thing left was the main beam. The trailer was suppsed to have 5K lb. axles, brakes on both, HD everything, blah blah blah...it was supposed to be overly built (per our request), it was only ever used for hauling rice bags (dont weigh much) and four wheelers. This trailer was purchased almost five years ago so his quality, I'm sure, has improved. Shawn says the same things as I do so I know its not just me that has seen ****ty bubba trailers...

Original post asked for a good deal and I pointed him towards a good deal. IMO, even though they are cheapest around, bubbas is not a good deal.

so from one trailer you condem the whole company's work.

I have a hard time believeing that a trailer being used by a business that relies on deadlines and short window in order to work, doesn't abuse a trailer. ecspecially if it just a bunch of employees and not the man who actually paid the bills.

I believe it was more then likely overloaded on more then one occassion and then "rode hard and put away wet".

I finally am going to be able to get a trailer in a week to a week and 1/2. And am in need of a good deal.

Bubba's rocks. Are you only wanting new or are you looking at used too?

I bought a nice used PJ's trailer 3 years ago for $1150. It was about 2 years old but like new, 83" deck, 16' long, ramps, tag axle brakes, good jack, etc. Looked for a while at trailers under $1000 and they were all crap.

Yep, I'm totally pleased with my Bubba's trailer. Get the upgraded car hauler with diamond tread fenders, Bulldog hitch and jack, 7' ramps, 5" channel frame rails, and you won't regret it. I kinda wish I'd bought a 10k lb trailer instead of the 7k lb though.

THE PUNISHER
The thing that sold me on Bubba's is that I needed a few extra things, so he pulled one out of production did what I needed. Then when he completed it he asked me if I needed it delivered to my house. Wow.
He went out of his way to sell me a trailer the way I wanted .
Good customer service and the best price.
:)

yeah I'll look at used too, as long as it isn't going to fall apart. My wife is flipping at the price of trailers. (she thought they were only a couple hundred bucks  )

20' Bubba trailer

I recently bought a 20' 10,000 lb GVW trailer from Bubba. The price was great and I have been very happy with it. I got it with dual brakes, spare, electric runaway brake. They fabricated some ramp holders on the side so I could load my ATVs from the side. Very happy with the purchase though I have not owned it very long. Have taken it on some trips including to Moab.
