Dolores River crossing fail

Hard thing with a river crossing is time of day matters- water levels change and of course a slightly different route changes depth as well.
Yeah, I've never noticed it as much with rivers since there's so much water anyways. But the creek by my cabin has made it abundantly clear how much it varies. Check it in the morning right now and rocks are sticking out, check it in the late afternoon and those same rocks are 6"-12" under water.

My Jeep started floating once, only for a second or two. Crossing Muddy creek in the spring which was only about three Jeep lengths wide. Bad feeling. Relieved it only lasted for a second before tires touched bottom and I was moving in my chosen direction again.

Then there was the time my Scout sank, but that was a whole different deal.

Hang on though, Texas Roadhouse doesn't even qualify as a steakhouse. Texas Roadhouse is just Applebys with bad grammar and a cowboy hat.

The terrible music and bad cuts of prime rib have led me to swear off the place.
