Fart sound board - its funny for those unexpected moments.
Urbanspoon - if you can't decide on what to eat, it will show different places.
Ringlert - free ringtones.
Where's my droid - if you like to loose your phone a lot. If your phone is on silent or vibrate, and you text a certain code that you preset, it will ring on loud.

Hopefully your X doesn't do what mine did today......discharged the whole battery in about 30 minutes, even when I killed every app.

Did your wireless or bluetooth get activated? GPS/GPRS are the real killers. Live wallpapers area good way to drain a battery. Droid has some much crap that runs in the back ground. Advanced Task Killer is a most.

Nope, neither were on. Not sure what happened, but it got toasty. I pulled the battery and let it sit for a bit. Hasn't done it since then......so far

I took my droid to a guy in Highland. He programed it so that all of the crap that is on it is taken off. He also made it so it is free for me to tether from my phone and made it so my battery lasts longer than normal. I don't know all the details, just know that my phone runs better and faster after he messed with it.

Good info, the task killer sounds like a must have. I know we have been over the GPS apps in other threads, I used the IPad to GPS all the new trails here (good service on the trails) Is there any one app for this that you guys like better than the other?

Get Square, it's a free app with a credit card scanner. It allows you to swipe someones credit card when you sell something.

There is no Jailbreaking with Droids. You do what's called a root(basically the same thing). Once a Droid is rooted it can be flashed or updated with everything from full custom ROMs to just updating certain parts of the kernels modules to make it run smoother and faster.

I dabble with Droid but I'm more into WinMobile. The HD2 I have has been played with to the point that it can be made to run pretty much every OS out there for a phone. I have several versions of Android loaded on my phone and can switch between.

Does it allow you to manually enter the numbers? Without the usb adapter/scanner and without a real need for it, why? What does it track the account to? Paypal, personal bank account,etc...? That would be interesting.

edit: Just looked it up. What's a normal percentage of the charge for using a credit card machine for a company? 2.75% seems high...If you enter credit card numbers manually, Square costs 3.5% + 15¢ per transaction.
