Dove Tail

I was thinking after seening Meat's Dove Tailed Trailer what it would take to cut the back couple of feet off and dove tail my trailer. Can someone tell me what the distance from the bottom of their doved tailed to the ground is? My trailer seems to be low but it could be lower. I would rather not drag the back of it all over the place after doving it.

Put metal rollers under the dove tail.

Mine seems pretty low at the tail... just enough to lay under on my back. (I know because I had to rewire the damn thing)

I'll put a tape on mine later toady. I do drag it every now and then but it hits on the pads on the drop legs. It takes a pretty good dip to drag it, I get in and out of the snakes parking lot without dragging.

That's a nice stupid comment.... My trailer is not just for my crawler...

Besides, I only run 38" tires....

Easy answer, so you can still get on the trailer without ramps when it's wet out.

I have been thinking of dove tailing mine, so if and when you do yours post some pictures I like to see how you went about it.

np, IIRC Bubba sells those feet for $25 a pair with the tube.... they make good skids
