Dr Z commercials

Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with the new Dr Z Dodge/Chrysler commercials? Personally I think it's the worst ad campaign I've ever seen and cures me from wanting any new Dodge product.

you WANTED a new Dodge product? well then I guess it's a good thing those commercials came along LOL

they irritate me. For one thing, it's a real disconnect to have a German 'doktor' as a mascot for an American car company. For another, the commercials themselves aren't all that entertaining. The Hemi guys were a lot better.

I hate them. I try and change the channel as quick and possible and then there is another Dr. Z commercial on the other channel!

He's not bad. I've seen a lot worse out there.

So true. Nothing will EVER be as bad as the Low Book Sales radio commercials. I would still look at Jeeps and Dodges, but I wouldn't be caught dead at a Low Book Sales. The one in Lindon looks like it has quite the selection of cars, but I won't even stop to get a better look.

I disagree...the Quizno's commercials featuring the roadkill rats singing weird songs were worse.

How so?

1. No more Cherokee, despite it selling like hotcakes.
2. The Liberty.
3. The Grand Pacif..err.. Cherokee
4. THE COMPASS!!!
5. no diesels for us.
6. live axles are dead.

need I go on?? Jeep has always been a sort of maverick brand, right from the start. Except for the Wranglers, none of the current lineup is true to Jeep's heritage. They didn't have to do that. The new Compass is like... a Geo Metro with Jeep badges. And everything is starting to look the same.

While I agree with many of your points, you need to remember that DC has also been responsible for the Rubicon, Unlimiteds, the Rescue, the Hurricane, the first Jeep with 3 rows of seating, the '07 Wrangler, the Power Wagon, the Cummins 600, reintroducing the Hemi, the 6.1L Hemi, the SRT series, a diesel Liberty, etc.! Unfortunatly as with anything in life you must take the bad with the good. While I don't agree with everything DC has done recently I do believe it has made Jeep a better brand with more popular appeal and a better chance to continue long into the future!!

But that's just my $0.02.

No... they are making Jeep Dodge Jr.. The new WK's are awesome, but the Hemi blows. The SRT8 WK is an awesome idea but the Hemi still blows. The new Wranglers are cool, but they got rid of the 4oh; one of the last bits of Jeep left.

I will most likely never own another Chrysler product.

I said "except for the Wranglers"

the Rescue, the Hurricane,

not being produced, concepts DO NOT COUNT

the first Jeep with 3 rows of seating,

1. is that a good thing???? 2. go sit in that rear seat. oooh comfy. NOT

the '07 Wrangler,

see above

the Power Wagon, the Cummins 600, reintroducing the Hemi, the 6.1L Hemi, the SRT series,

Not Jeep products, so again, DO NOT COUNT

a diesel Liberty, etc.!

...but they scrapped plans for a diesel in anything else. Boo.

Unfortunatly as with anything in life you must take the bad with the good.

? Let's compare before Daimler (, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Wranglers) with after (Grand Pacif..damnit, CHEROKEE, Liberty, Wranglers (rubicon and unlimited are cool), COMPASS!, IFS

While I don't agree with everything DC has done recently I do believe it has made Jeep a better brand with more popular appeal and a better chance to continue long into the future!!

The trend theyr'e moving in is far away from Jeep roots. It's sad.

But that's just my $0.02.
