Draglink not parralel with axle

I have a question about draglink angle. I bought an astro box and have it installed in my TJ and dont want to stretch it out 8-9" where the draglink would be parralell to the axle. I want to pull the axle back about 2"-3" but this will make my draglink at an angle back and not parralel with the axle. I am running a ford dana 60 with a 3 link front and can mount my trackbar at the same angle if this will work.

Is this possible to do? problems? do they make a shorter pitman arm or a longer high steer arm?

Thanks

Why would you pull the axle BACK? That's.. probably not the best idea.
-- pumpkin will be closer to the oil pan sump
--all the suspension mounts should be moved back as well.
--clearance issues at the firewall

etc.

longer HS arms increase the leverage on the studs.

With an astro van steering box, I have roughly 10" of front stretch. I only want to set my axle so I have 6" of stretch from stock. I have PLENTY of clearence for the axle. I just dont want to stretch it as far as 10", which will put my draglink at an angle, say 3" back on the knuckle side. I could refab my box mount but that is alot of work if its not an issue.

Any problems you can see?

mine is offset about 4 inches... no issues.

Is you DL on the same angle as mine, meaning....back farther to the rear on the knuckle, or the other way around.
Also, are you running a trackbar on yours? I havent mounted a tracbar so I can run it on the same angle.

Thanks!

I just relocated my steering box and have 5" front stretch, lots of fab but not bad. I looked at going the astro box route but didn't like the pitman arm being a front anchor.
