So with the addition of a STAK monster box I want to add the beef to the rear shaft as well. Before I order the box I need to decide on the rear shaft. Most of you have seen the way I drive and I'm thinking 1410 joints on each end is the best way to go. However, I'm thinking that 1350 will be fine. I have bee running 1310 with out any problems yet. I need a CV joint (I think).

Also, is there a local vendor that can build the same quality of shafts as High Angle Drive Lines? I'm terrified to call them and see what thier prices are...

Looking for a little help.

I always call Eric at Six States. I've never had any problems. He's usually quite reasonable on prices esp. if I bring in something for him to work with.

Isn't Tom Woods still in Utah? I have purchased a lot of driveshafts from High Angle, and there pricing seems inline. It never hurts to call and get a quote. Jesse at High Angle is very easy to work with.

Shawn,
When I did the 4spd, I did 1410s at the t-case and 1350s on the pumkins, it works well.

It seems like I was trying to save some $$ and keep it tight around the pumkins, 1410s are huge. :)

Gaylons in Lehi put mine together but things have changed there lately... :(

I called Eric and his price was right. I think I'll stay with the 1350's so I can just modify my original shaft.

Tom is in Utah but he almost refuses to sell anything but 1310. I had a High Angle rear shaft on my buggy and I wouldn't pay the money for his shafts again. Back when I got mine, Gaylons was talked very highly of, I don't know a current status of them. FWIW, when I called Gaylons back then, he was WAY cheaper than any of the others.

Thats the way mine has been for years....
1350 and 1410 have the same trunion diameter, 1410 is just a wider cross, allowing it more working angle.

I'll be running 1350s on both ends. I need to find someone that makes a great 2 piece shaft with a good carrier for my front. It's going to be a tight fit.

At what angle should I worry about for a CV? I would love to go 1410 on both but SKAT doesn't offer a 1410 with a CV.

Tom has built all of my drivelines, personal and business and would never think of anyone else doing it. and yes, they aren't all 1310, either. My rear is a 1350/1350 CV and my front is still my old one 1350/1330 CV.

One time a few years ago a sell depended on if I had a High Angle driveline, so I called Jesse to get setup as a distributor. I didn't care for how I was talked to and never signed up. I lost the sale because of it. It was a RE long arm kit for an LJ and the guy was paying full retail - read I had the chance to make ~$1000 profit on the deal.

I have High angles on the samurai and never had a problem with jesse. Even got my yokes for the new buggies axle through him. He is pretty much the one man band so I can understand he is busy.

Gaylon's is getting my money when I get shafts made. For the price, and being somewhat local I don't think they can be beat.

High Angle is my second choice. :D

Dave's drivelines in Provo is where i've always gone. I was talking to him about an other driveline place that said they couldn't make a DL as stong as stock. While talking to him he said he taught Tom woods, and another popular name. ( can't think of it now) to build DL's. THen they went on then own.

Dave did a great job for me, and did whatever I asked also the price was GREAT.

 Pretty sure Tom Woods was originally at a Six States before venturing out on his own. Regardless Tom has done very well for himself and his name, a great businessman no doubt!
