I need a set of driving lights for my pavement pounder. Just some of the 3x5 kind with a price that won't kill me. What have you guys been running that work really good without breaking my bank?

Thanks,

I know that PIAA is spendy but I think you really do get what you pay for. I have used them I would spend the money on them again.

You can buy five sets of pilots from pep boys for the price of one set of piaas... (ok not five, but usually at least three)
You do get what you pay for, but $300 buys a lot of pep boys lights.

Shawn, I'd call Kurt and check his price on the IPF giveaway lights I won. They're pretty sweet and I don't think they are that spendy. I'm going to get some more for the other trucks.

They call them driving lights. Box shows a nice pattern out to 300' w/the wimpy 55w bulbs, and they come w/nice 100w bulbs in the box.

I have yet to install these, lacking a bumper on the Blazer, but I jumped them off a battery in my dad's garage and they're frickin' bright w/the 100w bulbs.

Hella 500's only run around $60.00 - $70.00 now days. I have a set on two of my vehicles. They are bright as hell and come with the proper relay / wiring system.

i've ran Hella 550's and never had a problem with them... but i know anyone who brighted me did.. ;)

i've got some IPF's from Kurt sitting on the shop floor.. no problem with them yet as i've not installed them... they seem sturdy and i hear nothing but good things. i too am a believer in you get what you pay for.. if the Hella 550's are $60-$70.. you'll pay around twice that for the IPF's...
