Driving without shoes

So Chris/Tara's posts got me thinking about driving without shoes.

On long drives, I get annoyed with shoes, and frequently shed them to be more comfortable. When I was going back East all the time for work, it was like, necessary to be comfortable maaaan.

How many of you also shed your shoes while driving????

Depends on the distance, the vehicle and which shoes. But yes, sometimes I do.

And I am one of those that doffs the shoes on airplanes too.

Yup, on long drives the shoes come off and the cruise control goes on. I take my shoes off if I'm sitting at my desk for a while, too.

Umm, no no no no no, and you shouldn't either. It's wrong. You can feel when your bare foot hits the pedal that you're doing something you shouldn't do. I hope your mom doesn't catch you doing it.

I always take my shoes off when driving for any substantial amount of time. I'm absolutely LOVE shoes, I just am not a huge fan of wearing them.

gas pedal=hurts sensative tootsies.

shoes are always more comfy than no shoes, unless i have my feet up. then they are anoying.

Ever since my buddy rolled his jeep 10 times with me in it--off a switchback I keep my shoes on. I got thrown out and landed like a cat on my feet the downside was that I didn't have my boots on to cushion the fall onto boulders.

I removed the carpet in my jeep so shoes is a must, the floor gets too warm.

On road trips that's a maybe depending on the vehicle.

I always wear my shoes, if I am wearing heels I usually bring them and wear flipflops while driving until the point of arrival has come.

I take my shoes off on long trips for sure, but otherwise they stay on, gas pedal does feel a little rough...:sick:

No kidding!! Especially when they have spikes on them. Makes it hard to get comfortable....

I once spent nearly an entire summer barefoot, except for most of the time I was at work.

Sandals all summer damnit.

I put my shoes/socks on after I shower in the morning, and they don't come off untill I am ready to get in bed. Period. The only place I am barefoot is, in bed and the shower, and between the two places.
Any anyone else who is different is weird and a freak. :brett:
