ds sheared u bolts last night?

So on the way home last night, my front drive shaft starts whipping around and about put a big hole in the floor board! It came apart at the tc yoke, two of the u bolts or the bolts that hold the u-joint in place, sheared off, and sent the ds whipping around and shaking the jeep like crazy. So my question is did I put too much stress on it while wheelin, or did the ds place not tighten these up? I just got lockers so I guess it could have been me, but what do I do to prevent this again?

it's a HD drive shaft, two months old, and two of the bolts are in half and still in the drive shaft end where it bolts up to the yoke

how much of the threads are showing on whats left? As far as I know they rairly just shear if tightened down to specks.

pics aren't workin too well, but the two bolts that are still there have about half thread on em, and the rest is sheared off. The other two are gone with no damage, so it looks like the other two rattled loose?

Who was the last person to install or remove the driveshaft?

Gaylon's Drivelines in Lehi, 2 1/2 months ago, they built it and installed it.

Hmmm... and in the past 2 1/2 month you haven't rechecked any bolts on the drivelines or any other part of the rig? Well, regardless of what happened or who may possibly be responsible, I think you'll have to chalk this one up to experience.

Sucks...

yeah, afew months after RRO did my lift and drivelines two bolts worked themselves loose. I upgraded to some better ones and all is well. Now i always check bolts weeks and months after things are installed.

yeah I usually check stuff too, just forgot about those small bolts on the driveshafts, where do you get stronger ones?
