Dumb Dana 30 Question

Okay I am not the brightest person in the world but I want to ask before I do anything dumb.
I park my Jeep all winter in the driveway. I plan on buying a new ARB for the Dana 30 for this upcoming year. My question is in the meantime can I take my TruTrac out and and not put the ARB in right away and still have it driveable to pull into the garage or onto a trailer.:-\

Thanks in advance

Do you mean no carrier at all? If so, pull the front driveline and at least keep the stub shafts bolted into the unit bearings or else they can come apart (the stub shafts hold the bearings together).

Yes no carrier. But if I take off the driveline and keep the stub shafts bolted in I should be okay moving it around right?
I just wanted to double check before I do something stupid and scew myself over.

I'd probably want to take the inner shafts out as well... just so you don't bung anything up in the housing.
I drove my grand around for almost a year with the outer stub shafts holding in the unit bearings, no inner shafts, and no front driveline.

Whatever you do, put your outer stub shafts back in, or really nad things can happen.

Really. Bad. Things.

I was in a Jeep once on the road with no outer stub shafts on the Dana 30. It was awesome...

To just move it from the driveway to the garage, you'll be fine with the inners and outers in place. The seals will keep the inners from moving around too much. I wouldn't even worry about taking the front drive shaft off.

If you're going to drive it around, you'll want to take the drive shaft off. Since there won't be oil in the housing you don't want to fry the pinion bearing. You should also take the inner axles shafts out, BUT LEAVE THE OUTERS!
