Hey EZ, BC, or whoever else has used Durabak. It says in the FAQs to use it all when you first open it, and that opening it will start the activation process. Is that true?

I really need to open it and use a bit this week but then use the majority of it within about 6 weeks on my truck. Will I ruin it by storing a partially full can?

Don't know if it matters but I have regular black for the first coat and UV Black for the top coat.

yes it will start activating immediatly, you can slow it by pouring some xylene on top of the can, but you need to do this as you use it, kind of the floating layer of xylene ontop of the paint. The colder and more humid it is, the faster it will set.

There are between coat instructions on the can, you need to wait for tac between coates, but I'm pretty sure the color doesn't matter. as long as you re-prep the lower coat by wiping down with a xylene soaked rag.

just FYI, don't get it on anything you can't throw away and mask well!

I'm going to interior coat 2 commandos with it here shortly, I'm way impressed by it.
