Hi everyone, I already posted up the the trail rides section and have gotten some great advise. I would like some actual wheeling tips as I have heard there is a big difference in wheeling styles needed in Moab vs the Southeast.

First I will describe typical southeast wheeling style. I would love tips and differences that I should expect out there.

My Rig:
Fullsize K5 Blazer
350 V8
700R4
Np203/205 Doubler
Dual rear Cutting brakes
Dana 60 Front with 456s, Detroit, Chromo Shafts
Eaton Rear Axle 456s, Detroit
1410 DriveShafts
H1 Wheels with 42inch Iroks

Style:
Low traction = High wheel speed
Low tire pressure 4-5 psi
Many obstacles requre a "Bump" ( I will explain if needed )
Mixture of Mud and rocks on most trails.

One thing I noticed on many of the youtube videos that I saw is everyone seems to run pretty high tire pressure. Is this an accurite observation?

Thanks,
Gabe

I run about 4 psi in my 42" Iroks all around moab and that seems to work just fine for me. In my previous rig with 36" Iroks I ran about 9 psi. It was a little heavier and that seemed to work well. The grip in moab is amazing. Most tires work very well, and very steep climbs are possible. But the "Moab bump" can be very helpful in getting you up some of the ledges.
Hope this helps some.
Dan
