my buddy just did that 2 days ago on his Rhino. Only it was his arm and shoulder hanging out, not his hand. Remember to tell your passengers too, they often put their hands out the window to "catch" themselves.

if you roll grab your thighs just above your knees and push on the floor with your seat(pushes thighs and hands tight into the seat) thats how i roll haha. an arm and a leg isnt gonna stop you from rolling.

That's nasty......reminds me some folks in a 2wd rear engine rail, trying out Mickeys Hot Tub a few years ago. Dad was driving and kept pulling wheelies (duh) trying to climb out, son had a firm grasp on the cage.......I yelled at him twice to pull his hands inside, luckily he complied before Dad flipped it on it's lid in the tub. After we flipped the rail back over and strapped it out, the son noticed the rockrash on the cage where his hand had been..........and quietly thanked me.

this is an instinct that most people do... what you need to do is have role playing where someone tells everyone what they are suppose to do in the event of a roll.. then practice it.. then once it becomes ingrained into your memory when the actual time comes your brain will tell you what to do...

when people are interviewed after an accident they say everything goes in slow motion just before the crash... what is happening is the brain is going thru the memory files looking for something that resembles the event to tell you what to do... so the speed of the brain looking makes everything else look slowed down....

My old Honda Oddyssey 350 had loops to tie your hands to the steering wheel. It felt so weird being tied to the wheel, but it was nice to get used to hanging onto the wheel no matter what happened.
