Ebay 700R4?

So, the 700R4 in my Blazer died. I am fully capable of rebuilding it myself, but I simply do not have the time before EJS. I've got frames to patch, third members to build and I've still got a lot to do on my rig. I can get a stock rebuilt one from AutoZone for ~$1200 or I saw a couple "high performance" trannies on eBay for ~$1000 that say they can handle 500 HP. The eBay sellers are all back East, so I would have to pay for shipping, but that's not too bad.

Would you buy something so important and expensive as a tranny on ebay?
If I buy from Autozone, at least I can go talk to someone face to face if I have a problem. I think AutoZone stands behind their junk. Here are a couple links to ebay.

What would you do? The coolest vacation of the year is going to be riding on this tranny, plus I'll have the wife and kids with me, so breaking down tends to suck more.
The Blazer is a full size, has a stock TBI 350, NP241, one tons and 37s, so I don't know if a stock rebuilt tranny will cut it.

If your tranny breaks on your trip and you bought it off Ebay, your wife will have your TENDERS. I have used Lodders Automotive in Bountiful for tranny work and got a great job done. I am sure there are others in Ut County that will do just as good a job or get one at AutoZone. I wouldn't buy a tranny off of Ebay unless I stole one at an unbelievable price. I bought a $5K ATV off of Ebay but it was from a guy that was a General Manager of a big Ford dealership in Maryland so I felt somewhat comfortable about it. It turned out great.

I had State Transmission on the west side of State St across from University Mall rebuild my PSD tranny. I had them add all the upgrades they could. It wasn't cheap but it's a great tranny. They know their stuff.

Glen Libby is great and only works on transmissions and has done so for 30= years.

I ended up going with an AutoZone Bulletproof HD 700R4. Three year unlimited mile warranty. If I kill it, I'll warranty it and tear down the new one to make it hold up.

The eatmyshift/monster guys were cool to deal with, but they were two weeks out + shipping time.
