Anyone tried it on a Wrangler? Looking to get a little more out of my 2006 LJ. Its a weak dog compared to my 93 with the same 4.0L engine. I am very dissappointed with this one. Looks like Edge or Avenger are the only real options.

Why is the LJ weak compared to your YJ? Its basically the same engine but the LJ will be a little heavier stock vs. stock.


I've heard good things about the edge kit and nothing bad so far.

The newer 4.0 heads have smaller valves and bit less power.

Ture but I thought the intake runners were better so the output was about even.

Don't know why its weaker, but it is. The LJ can't even maintain 60 mph up Parley's Canyon. No excuse for thast in my book. Especially at 15 mpg. The YJ has 35s, the NV4500 and 4.88s. The LJ is on 265/16s with 4.10s. Should be about the same. Torque seems to the the major difference. I have added a K&N and a Banks exhaust. No impact.

It's spendy, but boost always makes a dramatic impact. I supercharger would make that LJ boogie up Parleys. :greg:

how many miles are on the engine? have you tried doing a tune up? maby running some champion truck plugs will help

Only about 17,000 on it. Its an 06. If only the 4.7 was availiable!
