So I managed to take a small group of students from my autos program to Moab on Friday. We left the school at 7:00am and stopped for breakfast. We arrived at the vendor show at 10:00 after driving the short bus for 3 hours fighting the wind etc... At any rate the group had a great time. We got to see a ton of cool products including turbos, super chargers, etc. We spents some time at the Randy's looking at lockers types etc. Over all a great trip, not as good of show as last year, but still good. The high light was meeting Ian from Xtreme on Power Block. My kids all got to meet him, shake his hand etc. He signed a poster encouraging them to keep up the good work on our build. Also he is going to send us DVDs of the program so that we can view em any time we need. It was cool. I also grabbed an 8500lbs superwinch for pur build. It was show special for $250. Figured for $250 I couldn't go wrong. We hung out at the show for a bit then headed into town where we stopped at the Jeep lot set up at Walkers Drug. We checked out the rigs. Go to see the Nukaiser in person and the lower 40, but the coolest thing there was a 4 door jeep body modified to fit on a 3/4 dodge frame with a flat bed. It had the 5.7 and was just a really cool rig.
When we got done with jeep we then headed to Zax for all you can eat pizza. Scarfed down lunch and headed out to Potato Salad hill to watch a few vehicles run the hill and few that at least tried.
Over all a great trip, we had fun and everything was great...
Can't wait til next year. Maybe the build will be ready...
