Here's what I don't get....why would they want to start at 5am when it is pitch black outside????? why not start at 630 when at least you're starting to get some light. Crazy.

The time has been moved to 6:15 - 6:30 AM

Oh yeah, they'll be out there. I believe the BLM will pick up the rest of the bill.

That will be really cool if they do! It would be more cool if they didn't have to, hint hint wink wink (to those that aren't helping out physically or financially).

That is confirmed. The BLM is very appreciative for what we have done so far. When we first started the discussion with them they said that anything we can do will help them for this week. The dumpster will be there for sure. I may end up throwing in a little extra once the invoice arrives. Thanks again for all that helped.

Hey,
I spoke with Sarah this morning. She is the one I think Rusted spoke to. She was very happy to see someone else there besides her. I was able to spend about 40 minutes doing some cleanup. This morning wasn't really bad. It will be later in the week when it gets really bad.

one thing of interest she said. Channel 21 (or whatever - the channel that shows all the wheelin stuff here in Moab) wants to do a shoot showing the good works of the 4wd community. She was saying Friday or Saturday, but I think it is still open as to which day exactly.

Also, I spoke briefly with Eve (RR4W sec) and she had very high praise for our efforts in getting the dumpster and people out there to help clean up.

I have spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Sarah. She has to be the most extreme "greenie" that I have ever met. She thinks about things to recycle that I would never have considered before. But she is probably one of the biggest advocates we have there. She has been great to work with, and will support and appreciate any of the clean up and recycling effort we can provide. She takes the PSH area on a personal level. She is the reason that we have tried to get people in the morning to help clean up. Thanks for showing up and helping out!

I went out there again this morning. This time it was me and my 11yo nephew. She was happy to see anyone again, although I have to admit, I have been the only wheeler out there these last two days.

She actually asked for a ride in my jeep. She said that was huge for her to actually do that. I took the door off for her to get the full effect. Before my nephew and I left, she snapped a photo of me, him and my jeep. Says it will end up on her website as she says, "the first jeep I ever rode in". She really is a good person, and simply cares a lot about the environment. Last year's efforts, and this year's efforts have made big strides to change her opinion of wheelers.

We need more people out there though. Although these past two days was easy enough to handle just me and her and my nephew, it will get worse as the week goes on. I won't be able to get out there tomorrow, but will be there on friday. Would love to see a big turnout.

I've passed along the contact info for Channel 21 to Cruiseroutfit. He will try to arrange something on Sunday as that seems to be the big day for cleanup.

I will speak up for BlackSheep just in case he is not able to get on and answer. I know that he has been meeting Sarah from the recycling center in the mornings and she starts between 6:15 and 6:30.
