Ok since we are kinda on the subject of electric fans..... Im debating on just wiring my electric fan up so when the key is on it is on full bore..... Sure it is a lil more noisy and a bit more juice but i care more about keeping my motor cool than either of those two things... Thoughts?
I would wire it up the usuall relay to temp sensor stuck in the radiator, adjust te relay harness to desired temp for your street driving. Not sure what thermostat you have, but adjust on/off time accordingly.
Then from there you can splice off the motor. Lead to breaker switch to constant +, then while off road or hard on it you flip of the switch keeps the fan running high 100% of the time no worries in the world.
As mentioned above, I wouldn't want my fans running while cranking e motor all the time. It's fine for short term for sure, but after a years worth of starting issues can pop up.
I run FFdynamics dual fans they pull very little power but serious CFM. Something like that wouldn't be such a big deal running during crank + stereo or whatever else.....
