ok if some one can figure this out, they will be my hero, so on monday my brake lights worked and so did the blinkers but the tail lights, reverse lights and running lights didnt, then today i tried them again and the tail lights worked and so did the blinkers but only one of the running lights didnt work and now my brake lights dont work  and neither do my reverse lights and the strange thing is i didnt even mess with any of the wires or bulbs. this has to be the work of the devil or really weird electrical wiring  i just dont know.

I had the same crazy problems on my scout when I got it. Ran the top battery terminal to the engine, side battery terminal to the body then ran a wire to the back of the scout to both rear light assemblies and no more problems since.

Good Luck, Brad J

well i looked for the ground but still cant find them  i circut tested the power and i think they all where good so im still gonna check the ground,

That's because in most older vehicles the body is the ground. Run a good ground from your engine or tcase to your frame, then run a ground wire from your frame to your body front and back, if this doesn't do it, you may have to ground the light housing directly.

i'll try that thanks, ya it went really weird today, all the lights stopped working except the headlights and driver side tail light but its not the tail light coil thats lighting up its the brake light coil that lights up in the bulb, oh and the blinkers work but thats it.

Still sounds like a loose ground wire, however it would'nt hurt to get a hold of some wiring diagrams and check out the wiring to and from fuse block , it could be a broken wire .
Of course it could be the way your truck bounces up and down on here! :D

Do you have a trailer light connector? Has there ever been any kind of splice or repair in the harness? Both places are common for the odd type of problems you're describing.
