Which electronic Brake controller I shoud buy? I have a 3/4 ton Dodge Hemi that I need to get setup with Trailer brakes so I can tow the toy hauler and various flat bed trailers with it.

Any help:confused:

I have the same truck and a Tekonsha controller. Personal opinion is that they all work the same, so I dont think it matters too much. Its not worth it to me to spend the extra $40 or so to get the digital ones.

i've got a reese. its a mid level unit and works pretty good. they are all pretty good. i would recomend spending the little extra money and buy a digital unit. they offer more features than the standard ones.

I agree on the digital type they are worth the extra money. I like the Draw-Tite 5500 nice digital controller

I have the Tekonsha Prodigy, and would recommend it highly over a standard controller. It has some kind of inertia sensor so it gives more stopping power to the trailer the harder you brake. Makes for a nice, smooth stop every time. And it has various levels of "boost" that let you adjust how quickly the brakes will reach maximum depending on how big a load you pull. I think mine was around $100 for the controller, and like $25 for everything else...harness, fuses and relays, and 7-pin connector.

I'm going to be getting rid of my standard Tekonsha controller in favor of a digital.... I pull many different trailers empty and various degrees of loaded... it would be nice to have a number to set it at for each instead of fiddleing around each time.

My Prodigy has some problems. It works, then it doesn't. Can't troubleshoot, just says n.c. If I hook up my trailer to go swap trailers with a buddy, it decides to work...and my trailer works fine for the buddy's rig. Then it works for a couple weeks. And then doesn't. I've redone both connectors, replaced the brakes, magnets. Checked a billion grounds. I'm baffled. I liked the simple Kelsey or whatever was in my burb. I yanked it before I turned it in, I'm about to replace my Prodigy with it.
