General Tech emissions

I am just curious about the emissions laws you guys have. We don't have them here, but with the new Obama takeover we will.Is it going to effect my highly modified mid 80ties truck?I removed all the horsepower robbing junk and replaced it with a bb, headers, no cat and carb.

Varies by county here in Utah, the bigger ones (Davis,SL,Utah) requiring it while others don't. Even those that don't may have a visual inspection (air pump, catalytic, etc). It is legal to remove emissions components on older vehicles, for example pre-1984 here in SL Co.

first time you try to get it inspected with no cat on it will fail... that is a requirement and will cause you all kinds of headaches...
